Dr. Clayton R. Smith specializes in podiatry and is a board-certified podiatric surgeon. He received his education from Temple School of Podiatric Medicine.
Matthew D. Sowa

Learn About Our Podiatric Surgeon Matthew D. Sowa, DPM, MS, FACFAS

Dr. Matthew Sowa is board-certified in Podiatric Surgery. He received his education from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine (Doctor of Podiatric Medicine), a Master of Science from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a Bachelor of Science degree from King's College at Wilkes-Barre, PA.

He completed his residency at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and Crozer-Keystone Health System.

Dr. Sowa is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association, and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

His hospital and surgical affiliations include the Reading Health System, St. Joseph Medical Center, and Reading Hospital Surgicenter at Spring Ridge.

For his free time, he likes exercising at the gym, playing golf and fishing.
Juanita L. Thorpe

Get to Know Doctor Juanita L. Thorpe, DPM

Dr. Juanita Lynn Thorpe is a native of Sharon Hill, PA, right outside Philadelphia. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Clark Atlanta University, in Atlanta, GA and a Master of Science from Thomas Jefferson University, in Philadelphia PA.

She then relocated to Cleveland Ohio, where she received her training in Podiatric Medicine from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Thorpe completed a 3-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency at Virtua Health System in Voorhees, NJ.

Dr. Thorpe's training encompasses surgical and conservative treatments for acute and chronic ailments of the foot and ankle. She is well-trained in wound healing and limb salvage. She is interested in preventative care and diabetes education.

She is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), and Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association (PPMA).

When Dr. Thorpe is not devoting her time to her patients and the field of podiatric medicine, she enjoys working out.
